W. Cole Durham, Jr. is Susa Young Gates University Professor of Law at Brigham Young University and Founding Director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies. He is the immediate past President of the International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies and a leading scholar in comparative constitutional law. He holds degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where he served on the Harvard Law Review and the Harvard International Law Journal. He is a founding Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion and has held leadership roles in the American Society of Comparative Law and the American Association of Law Schools. His work focuses on comparative law and the relationship between religion and the state.
