Robert M. Daines
General Authority Seventy, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Elder Robert M. Daines was sustained as a general authority seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 2023. At the time of his call, he was serving as a stake president and now serves in the North America Northeast Area Presidency. He has held numerous church callings, including full-time missionary in the Switzerland Zurich Mission, bishop, high councilor, and seminary teacher. Daines earned a Bachelor of Arts in American studies and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Brigham Young University and a juris doctor from Yale Law School. Professionally, he has worked as an associate at Goldman Sachs and as associate dean and professor of law and business at Stanford University. He has also taught at New York University and Yale University.
