Mark David Hall

Mark David Hall is a professor in Regent University’s Robertson School of Government and director of the Center for Religion, Culture and Democracy’s Religious Liberty in the States project. He is a recognized expert on the intersection of religion and American political thought, particularly the role of faith in the founding era. Hall has written, edited, or coedited more than a dozen books, including Did America Have a Christian Founding? Separating Modern Myth from Historical Truth. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wheaton College and a doctorate in government from the University of Virginia. His findings inform current national conversations about religion, history, and public life.
