Derringer Dick

Strategic research associate, Becket Fund for Religious Liberty

Derringer Dick is a strategic research associate at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, where his research supports litigation involving religious liberty cases in federal and state courts. Since joining Becket in 2015, he has contributed to several major cases, including Zubik v. Burwell, Fulton v. City of Philadelphia, Slockish v. U.S. Federal Highway Administration, and Harvest Family Church v. FEMA. Before joining Becket, he studied journalism and the classical liberal arts at Patrick Henry College, where he graduated cum laude. He later earned a Master of Arts in American studies from the University of Dallas. During his studies, he interned with WORLD Magazine and wrote freelance articles and film reviews for The Weatherford Democrat. His work combines legal research with communications and writing in support of religious liberty litigation.
