Rev. Dr. Byron Thomas is senior pastor of Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church on the campus of Emory University. He previously served as senior pastor of three congregations in Atlanta and as district superintendent of the Southwest District of the North Georgia Annual Conference. He currently serves on the Connectional Table, which helps guide the vision and mission of the United Methodist Church. Thomas has also held leadership roles in organizations focused on children, interfaith collaboration, and Black Methodist renewal. In addition to his ministry work, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He and his wife, DuWanna, are the parents of two adult sons.
