Blaine H. Evanson

Blaine H. Evanson is a partner at the international law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he practices primarily in the appellate and constitutional law practice group. He has represented clients in several matters before the Supreme Court of the United States and in federal and state appellate courts around the country. He maintains an active pro bono practice focused primarily on the defense of religious liberty. Mr. Evanson graduated from Brigham Young University and Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a senior editor on the Columbia Law Review. After graduation, he served as a law clerk for Judge A. Raymond Randolph of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. In addition to his law practice at Gibson Dunn, Mr. Evanson is adjunct faculty at BYU Law School, where he teaches a course on advanced constitutional law. He also taught at the University of Southern California and University of California, Irvine law schools. Mr. Evanson lives in Laguna Niguel, California with his wife Robin and four children.
